DAY 30
Extraterrestrials resembling circus clowns descend upon earth to capture and harvest its people.
Puppet masters The Chiodo Brothers created a name for themselves with special effects contributions to movies like Critters (1986), Pee Wee’s Big Adventure (1985) and later, The Simpsons. Their outrageous writing and directorial effort KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE (1988) stands alone as their only feature to date, but has earned its cult status due to a creative and zany blend of horror and humor.
On a date, Mike and Debbie spot a glowing object fall from the night sky. When they investigate the crash site, they find a candy-striped circuit tent doubling as an alien space ship. They navigate its bizarre rooms and escape attack from a species of alien that look like whimsical, grinning clowns. Equipped with mallets, popcorn bazookas, and sentient ballon animals, the ‘Klowns’ play tricks on and invade the nearby townsfolk, collecting and spinning them into cotton candy cocoons for later feasting and leaving it up to Mike and Debbie to put an end to all the clowning around.
Super fun 50’s invasion with a bonkers twist that allegedly has a sequel in the makes thirty six years later. So step right up and face your moderate coulrophobia with a screening of KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE!
